We need to call the Patrol Abuse Organization to report Swerve!

That's about double the carrying capacity of the ute, which is rated at 1000kg, or 2200 pounds. By my numbers, the load is about 1800kg, or almost 4000 pounds.

Well done Steve. You and your Patrols rule!

Towing 2500kg, about 700kg on the tray, for a 200km drive

Full pallet of bricks, plus another 1/3 and a G60 gearbox and transfer happend to be there as well. About 2500kg on the tray. The 10km drive to a mates was slow. Wasnt sitting on bumpstops, only on teh speed bumps

I'm on it. I'll be stopping by to remove the poor thing from these terrible conditions and give it a nice new home to run free....

Ferdy was there Wednesday when we loaded her up again. He was getting cranky with me as I kept on loading. He was saying I'd break her. I reckon the pallet was the worst so I wasn't worried. Worst thing would be the load on the springs

I've forgot where, but I've heard that theres a huge margin between load ratings and what you can get by with. For example, my F350 Ford truck is a 1 ton. The Lance camper I have slid in the bed weighs a ton and a half. No problem and most camper owners use 3/4 ton pickups...

Mike,
I have wondered why my 3/4 ton can handle lots more too.

Load it up Swerve. Looks to me like that G60 ute was a very good investment for you. :handgestures-thumbupright:

And then of course there is bosque with his sisters...now that's criminal. :scared-yipes:

And just look what others do:
