you can try advanced adapters....they may have one for that ....nissan tranny that is......toyotas are the chev knock-offs.....so if you cant find an adapter..might try a LC tranny and t-case....is your nissan motor bad? or dont have one?.....gl,paul

Hi jorge Well, Im told that the NISSAN "P" engine has the same bolt patern as the old chevy straigth six's and some of the old V8's. Thus it should bolt right up. Mater of fact, if you look in our clubs photo section you will see where someone put a 235 into a PATROL. I forget which member did it, thust look for the pictures and then back track the members email. Contact them and they should be able to give you the real deal. But, as I said Im told the bell housing bold patern is the same as the old chevy six's. Which is not to imply that the chevy 235 is anything like the nissan P. Mater of fact, they are about 180 out (ie mirror) image of each other, but, todate I know of no one that has found any parts that swap between the two engines. Grant

Jorge, Boy if you find that adapter for the Chevy let us all know. As Pudde mentioned, Advanced Adapters had a couple of adapters for the Patrol but I think they were made by Marks 4wd in Australia. I believe they adapted Ford (Australian Fords)engines to the Patrol. The only Chevy conversions that I'm familiar with was a Club member that put a Chevy 292 in his Patrol. It bolted up okay but needed a spacer between the engine and trans. I don't know how thick it needed to be but it's worth a shot. Engine length is also critical to keep the radiator from being a casualty. Good Luck, Gary

Jorge, I have a 292 in my '69. It does need a spacer/adapter (about 1/8" thick) and fabricated front motor mounts. The engine was already in there when I bought the Patrol, so I can't help with those details, but contact me, and I'll be happy to go through anything that I can to help. 6x6

Hey Gary and 6x6! Say... when you guys say *it* needed a *spacer* between the engine and trans, are you talking about the the bolt plate-mounting (30411-55100) that goes between the back of the engine and the front of the bell housing? Or, when you say engine, do you mean the engine plus the bell housting? Thus implying a *spacer* between the back side of the bell housing and the transmission? Which leads into my next question, when *they* say the bolt patern is of the PATROL "P" is the same as a Chevy 6... are they refering to the patern from the engine to the bell housing, or from the bell housing to the transmission? Thanks! Grant
