I just picked up 6 from the dealer for my 69 patrol ( the last six in the U.S; I was told ) these are the rubbers that come in the rebuild kits already mounted on the piston. However you may be abel to get them from  a Austrailan parts store or dealer; club . part number #44112-E5010..................This is the cheepest way to go at $2.77 apeace U.S....hop this helps jerry  -  aney one got leafsprings for 69 patrol.

Sliping the new rubber on the old piston is not hard to do at all. And the piston is hardly ever the part the goes bad, the cylinder is the part that usally goes bad and needs to be honed out. But sometimes they are so pitted that they cant be saved. Thus the *cheepest* route is to pull them off, take them apart and give them a look to see if a rebuild kit will work, or if you need new. But if you factor in your time as part of your cost then the *cheepest* route may be just to buy new right off the bat, and save the olds for spares.   >>-  aney one got leafsprings for 69 patrol.   See my post in the suspension section, there are two places in Aus where you can get leafsprings.  For me this was the way to go . The rubbers will work front or back cylinders; the pistons are differant front and back but take the same rubber. As for the dust covers thay cost about $3.00 apeace from the dealer . If you are going to rebuild your cylinders I would use 600 grit wet& dry sand paper for the rears and cylinder hone for the fronts .The rears are aluminum. I had to buy one cylinder. Rebuilding the cylinders is really easy just look for pits and unusual wear. You should also with any rebuilt cylinder 'pull your wheels off after a few days of driveing and check for leaks' as the 69 patrol has a signal master cylinder .( only one resevor for front and back).....Jerry

Thus my opinion that it is cheaper to bite the bullet. Say, do you have any leads on the rubber hoses that go/jumper from the metal break lines to the wheels and axels themselves. Mine are dry rotted bad, and the NISSAN dealer is having problems finding new ones. Thus you know of any after market ones that work?   Grant

Grant,   Here are some NAPA part numbers for the five hydraulic hoses necessary on the patrol.  Thanks to my local NAPA guy Randy, who did the research for me.   Front Wheels              - Napa United 11190 (two required) Front Axle                  - Napa United 5784 (about 1/2" shorter than stock) Rear Axle                   - Napa United 5784 (about 1/2" shorter than stock) Clutch Slave Cylinder - Napa United 36507     Good Luck!   Rick G

RickG!   Thanks You So Much! Im planning a road trip from Las Cruces NM back to Redondo Beach CA in about 3 weeks and these hoses were a big worrie of mine! They are dry rotted, cracked, chipped real bad! I just had the breaks done and the guy could not find them to replace them, so this will make my trip much nicer! Thanks again!

Grant thay are just rubbers and are still available through Automax nissan. I was going to go with knew cylinders but just for the front four thay wanted $200. By th way I just got 6 more from Automax ; My e-mail order to Automax was returned by the post master so I thought my order was not getting through but weeks latter today I got deliverd the six from Automax  witch I don't need .So if any one needs some $2 apeace .By the way Grant how do get your part from Austraila? I'll be doing a rebuild on my engine too if I come across any knew valve springs I'll let you know. NISSAN stopped selling the G60 PATROLS in the USA in 1969, but sold them in AUS up until 1979 or 1980. Thus AUS has a few more, thus a few more part stores that still cater to the PATROL.   >>I'll be doing a rebuild on my engine too   Well, there is a place here in the states that still has the engine parts.   http://www.motorpowerinc.com/pricing/p40.html   Thing is when NISSAN stop selling the PATROL in the states, they keep on using the PATROL "P" engine in thier industral forklifts, up into the mid 80s I belive. From what I understand the PATROL "P" engine is very simular to the forklift's "P-40" engine. The only thing they changed was the oil filter housing was made part of the block, so they could use the modern screw on type of oil filter insted of the cartarge. And it had a non waterproof distributer. And Im not 100% sure, but it sounds like the lifters in the "P-40" are different then the "P". Another thing I think is different, but not sure if the "P-40" has a timming chane with different crank and cam gears, where the "P" had not chane and gears that meshed.   >>if I come across any knew valve springs I'll let you know.   Thanks!
