PARTS NEEDED: Leaf Springs

Hey Gang Im trying for as stock as posiable, but in this case Im willing to go with aftermarket stuff. In that Im having trouble find new leaf springs and I really dont think used ones would be in much better shape then the ones I have. Therefore has anyone here found some aftermarket springs and associated equpment that will bolt up the the PATROLS orginal frame? On that note, how are springs rated? Lenght? Arc? Tension? I really have no clue of where to begin. I have seen upgrade kits in 4 wheel mags for jeeps and such, but they really dont give you much info execpt that it will fit such and such and that it is better then orginal (ie stiffer and such). So, anyone got any info? Anyone know where I can get new stock PATROL springs? As allways, thanks a mill! Grant

I"m not sure where you are located, but if you take your springs to a truck spring supply, most can rebuils your springs to what ever you want.. .. One such place here in the Sacramento area is Betts Spring.... good luck. You can check out http://www.ironmansuspension.com/ this is the only place I know of that offers a suspension kit for the patrol. I think it lifts it maybe 2 ". Don't know anybody who has gotten one here in the states. Looks like they might sell the springs in the kit seprately though. Might be worth looking into.

STRAUSZ! THANK YOU! That is exactally the kind of sight I was looking for! WOW! They got it all... And they show the leaf spring specs! Thanks a mill... Say, do you know off had what the differance is between a G60 SWB and G60 MWB. It looks like.. from the spring specs... that the MWB has stiffer rear springs... maybe a pickup bed type? Not sure? Grant

Hey, your welcome. Get the ones for the SWB as the MWB was never imported into the US. That is if your rig is a SWB! The SWB only has a wheelbase of 80 some inches or so. Also the diff on the SWB is the same size in the front as in the back. Anyhow, if you are ever able to contact Ironman and order some springs, let us know how much it cost. I don't think I remember anyone here ever buying them. I was thinking of buying the kit once, but I bet all I would really need are the springs. Well good luck on the spring issue
