Bosque 65 Patrol

I bought this from a guy named Greg and his wife outta Lake Tahoe, CA. It was from Canada and man is it clean and has some extras.

Both skid plates in good nick.

Original 16" solid rims

Altered and/or ? seats. These are way comfy and do go back further than my 67's seats.
I never saw one but this is a cover for the headlight dimmer switch.

Ad said "doesn't run". Motor turns with crank, this looks good under here. Need some Patrol time!
You think you have seen all Patrol options? Whats up with the notch?

And this beauty, probably why the wiring harness looks melted here and there.

Interesting find Dave. The woodwork under the seat should make you cringe. The notched door looks stock in photo. What do you think? I can't wait till Leslie comments! Can you keep this growing herd out of the snow?

Yes Mike, the herd is safe. I moved down to 5000ft since two years from 7500 ft elevation. That beam cut off will be a beautiful outdoor bench one day, diamond in the ruff.
I really have not had any good idea of what this notch was for but humorously I did say it could be a rifle notch or just a Japanese factory worker with a pension for pranks?!

Notch is for strap used to raise / lower window, before window winder handles invented.
Had the same on an old truck at home years ago ... Commer from memory.

Any goodies under the passenger seat or in the glove box? All the Patrols that i have bought seem to have treasures hidden in them... Points in containers, owners documentation, tool box?

Or the bad kind of treasures... such as the lonely black widder looking for a nibble...

Yes, there were some things that were okay used stuff nothing too hot but....I did score...

I heard one of your adoptions is Canadian. This was from Canada and oddly sports a "D" at the end of the Chassis # . Eddy explained the window strap thing but still weird, never seen it before, only passenger side.

I actually had an early year door upper that had the same cut out. I sold it last year since all of the vehicles that i planned on keeping were later style doors.

Thats a really nice clean Patrol, other then paint, you have a great start to a nice rig

I have a complete door that clearly shows the detail of the notch of Dave's door. The window is an acrylic one that your raise by hand and with a latch at the top. Only two positions: closed or fully opened.

Dave's however, seems to be a door in transition, between the older model (nothing there for a hand crank) and the newer one. They probably redesigned the bottom of the 2-part door, but not the upper portion, so the notch remained.

I'll promised to post a picture later. The ones I have with me are only showing the exterior, where you see just a hint of the latch.
