Patrol Brake parts needed

I need two complete sets of all of the shims, gaskets and clips that hold the rear wheel cylinders to the backing plates on an early Patrol. I checked with Nissanparts.com and all of the parts are discontinued except for one small shim. If anyone has good used parts, please let me know.

Hey Steve First off, I have no info for you, just a question. In that I dont know either. Im about to redo my breaks, just ordered new drums, shoes, and cylinders all around. I never thought about the shims, gaskets, and clips. In that I was under the impression that those things would be something a break shop would carry? But Im ignorant, so, if that is not the case, do you know if these shims are so specail that you can only use orginal parts? I just seems strange to me that they would be. Oh, on this note, what *gaskets* are you refering to? Anyway, if you need it, I have scrounged up all the part numbers for teh drums, shoes, and cylinders from teh good people in this forum. Hey! New info, seem my post titled "NISSAN Dealership with an Electronic Data Base" in that it was the day after my last post to you. And guess what, they have an electronic data base (ie the parts manual) at that dealer ship. I was in the process of buying new drums and cylinders, was looking at the picture she had pulled up and I did notice that it showed the shims your talking about. Thus, I dont know if NISSAN still has them, but at least she would be able to give you the part numbers that you may be able to use to cross ref with other parts. Good Luck! Grant

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I do have a parts manual so I looked up all the numbers at www.nissanautoparts.com and most of the shims and clips were discontinued. In the meantime, we made some parts and were able to piece the truck back together... It is great to have it back on the road. I have owned this Patrol for over a year and never driven it up till now. I imported it from Japan and is was parked since 1988 before I purchased it.
