-Looking for re-build carb

Hey Guys! I have a 1967 L60 and read on your compatable parts page that the 1960-1962 Chevy 235-261 CID carb is just like the one on the PATROLS. And that they are readily available. Does anyone know of a spot online (or off) where I can pick one of these up? It would be nice if you could supply the actual Rochester Carb part number alone with the part number of the supplier. Many thanks to one and all, this is a great web sight! It will really help me out on this project of mine... Some times refered to as the money pit. Grant

I did a search about 6 months ago on a "Rochester 7015013" and came up with a few places that either stock rebuild kits or sell rebuilt carbs. One place I spoke with quoted approx $82 for a rebuilt carb (can't remember the name right now). Good luck, David

Hey David! Thanks for the info!! After my post, I went out and took a closer look, rubbed off some of the gunk, and wala there was the rochester GM lable, then looked on the other side and found the copper tag with the very same number you posted (ie 7015013). Took that down to the parts store and they crossed referenced a holly. It was $98.00. When it comes in, and if it is correct Ill add it to the list o parts! Just want to say thanks to all, this web sight is what the web is all about! Grant

Grant, I also have Mr. Rochesters #7015013 (also available with an automatic choke.) but I'm curious about your Holley Carb. Let us know how you like it, what kind of fuel mileage you get. Do you lose any low rpm torque? Gain high speed acceleration ? Please keep us posted. Gary

Although I hate to repeat myself, I just posted this message elsewhere in the Message Board but thought is wouldn't hurt here. I have just found out that the Rochester #7015013 is not a part number but an application code and that this carb was produced in '57-'61, no wonder it gets lousy fuel mileage. No one cared when gas was under 50 cents a gallon. My rebuild kit and NAPA store says that this is a Rochester "B", "BC"or a"BV" carb. I am currently looking into a Redline Weber Carb K550 Kit to replace the Rochester. Their claim (and I tend to agree with them) is that you will get up to 18% better mileage and up to 20% increase in horsepower and torque. The bad news is that a new Weber is $396.00. If you drive your Patrol as much as I drive mine you should make up the money in about a year. I'm going for it.
