Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Small problem in Patrol GR-please help me

Post by npca-bruno »

Dear friends,   I own a  1999 Nissan Patrol GR Td6 engine RD28ETI. The car has this problem: sometimes when I accelarate between 1500 and 2500 rpm the car vibrates a little. I think the problem might be the gasoil pump. Do you think so? Do you experience the same problem? What can I do to work it out?   Please help me.   Regards,   Bruno btsilva1@hotmail.com
So, I just bought this Patrol….

Hey Bruno. Unfortunately, most people on this forum are from th US, where Nissan hasn't imported patrol to for over 30 years! Not many people here will know much about 1980 and newer patrols. There are some aussies that hang out every once in a while, so they might be able to help. All I can say is that if you are experiencing any significant vibrations, it could be due to a problem with the balancing of your engine or drivetrain. I better not say any more as I don't understand the full extent of your problem. Maybe you better get it checked out by a Nissan service center.

Hi Bruno, I write you from Italy, I like you have a GR 2.8 TD. The problem that you have me has happened to few months from the delivery of the patrol. The vibration I felt it also to the minimum (800-900 rpm) my mechanic has discovered that it was the support of the turbine that waved. Adding of the thickness to the support of the turbine, the problem has stayed resolved.By.Franco
