Well people I need your help again. I have run out of places to find that nearly extinct 1969 rear brake cylinder. If anyone out there has a source or has even heard of a rumour of someone having a cylinder please contact me. My patrol is almost ready to roll , but I have to be able to stop ! Jesse

If you decide that you need to buy new, I'm pasting a copy of a reply to another brake job posting about 2; months ago.; ; "I just completed a brake job on my 69. I ordered my cylinders through
http://www.nissanautoparts.com/; which I found on the links page. They do require the P/N's. I obtained the part numbers from the Nissan; Dealer. The cylinder part numbers are...; ; Fronts: 41111-35003 Right; 41113-35003 Left; Rear: 44100-44011; ; Ordering from the website above saves alot of money.; ; I had the shoes resurfaced locally. Cost $100. Cylinders were $250 plus shipping."; ; Hope this helps

Thank for the info Joel , but they are the ones that informed me that there are no more rear cylinders available through their network. I do have a line on a brake part distributor in the U.K. who claims to have the part. I will pass on the info if it pans out.

Wow, I sure was lucky to get the last ones! When I was looking for mine, the Nissan Dealer here said they could get them for me but their price was an added $10 each. ; ; Another idea you might consider, is that when I was looking for the clutch slave cylinder and couldn't find it, a local outfit had it bored and sleeved with a brass sleeve. Should last forever. Maybe you could get yours sleeved. I think it cost me $50. If you're interested I can find out where they had it done here in Calif.

The second supplier is in the U.K. and they are Brake-Away Parts and their price is 39.60 + 1.80 shipping ea. note: this is in British Pounds, you need to make the conversion. Their netsite is

UPDATE: Sorry people but I'll have to hold off on Brake-Away Supplies in the U.K. as a supplier for the brake cylinder. It seems that they just assumed that the 1981 cylinder would fit my 1969 . I couldn't be sure so I decided not to make such a long distance ordering mistake. Looks like I am going to try Motorcare from Australia. Jesse

Well everyone, it is friday sept. 15 and my brand new rear brake cylinders arrived by mail today. They are brand new after market parts from Australia and are a perfect match. I would like to say that Motorcare Four Wheel Drive is one of the easiest and fastest online stores I have ever done business with. My hat is off for Richard Oliver over in Aussie Land. Can't wait to drive my Patrol.
