Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Hey Red!   I have the parts manual that shows a good break down, ie exploded view... BUT I have another manul that does you one better. The service manual on the PATROL body. That is to say a car typical comes with two types of service manuals, one for the engine and one for the body. Where the body is... well everything that is the body! To make a long story short (I know I know) the service manual tells you how to rebuild the front and rear ends (and everyting else). Im currently working on scanning it in, but have not finished. But, email me at grantsenn@yahoo.com and tell me what it is your rebuilding and Ill XEROX off those sections and mail them to you.   Keep this in mind too, one thing Im not 100% sure about, but have heard some folks talk about is that some of the NUTS on the front and rear ends were changed during the years, from Righthie Tighty to Lefty... and Im not sure which ones or what years. So, Im not sure if my service manual will cover that. But Im sure that you will be able to figure that out on the fly.   Keep this in mind too, I look into getting new bearings, gears, ring and pinons and such in lue of rebuilding mine some day... Alot of the parts still exist from NISSAN, but alot dont. So, you may get it apart and find that you may have something that is too far gone. At which point you will have to probally buy a used one for parts. Iteams like bearings... you can allways find one that will work in place of a stock NISSAN one, but some of them little gears... those would be hard, the big ring and pinion though, they still made them... BUT they are PRICIE!! $400.00++ So, if you find that you need them goto www.nissanautoparts.com and utilize our clubs 25% discount!!!! That will save you $100.00 bucks on a $400.00 bringing it down to $300.00+   Grant
