Are your spring swingin' low too?
Naa, these were another Patrollers new set he ordered/bought from ALCAN springs of CO. Not sure if he is signed up here but would love the lowdown on how it all turned out after 1-1 1/2 years ago.
There maybe other members parting out.... Have you thought about buying a parts rig? Now that you are "IN" with one Patrol it only makes sense, to you and us anyways, to get a donor Patrol....nearby and for a few hundred. Heres one I've seen listed for at least two months, not a few hundred but an example of what 3 minutes of craigs list searching does for you. http://chico.craigslist.org/cto/3508524729.html Check other lists too.
This guy has a bunch of stuff BUT, be warned that he has been difficult in the past with me and some others but obviously still trying to "let go" of some parts. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/pts/3447783022.html Do not be duped by the toyota axel BS. They are not:
"1 -- Toyota rear axle assembly complete. Drums, brakes, axle housing, axles,
leaf springs, sway bar. This axle has been altered to bolt into a Nissan
patrol. Toyota axles are stronger and this was a common swap for people
that really used their patrol. $100.00" as the seller states.
A guy recently did this swap and then put it up for sale. Okay, maybe it could work and get discs and whatnot but now you just have a mongrel pile, not a Nissan Patrol.

Yes I have been looking for a parts rig, found one right before Christmas, but wanted to wait till I recoup from the holidays. I did have a buddy send me a photo of a hard top patrol right here in town, I guess its been sitting for years, so waiting to here on that.

Springs are sagging, I thought about having them re-arched by a spring shop here or just buy new.

I highly doubt you'll find any springs worth salvaging on a parts rig (at least if you are looking for that factory fresh stance). They are just tired at this point even if they weren't abused. I need to get a set myself and contemplated having them rearched. I'm not sure how that would pan out in the long run as I haven't heard any feedback over time from those that have had it done. I'd love the alcan's but I believe they were quite pricey. There was a guy who had done a bunch of research and found some S10 springs that would fit with little modification. I can't remember the details though.

Yes a G for all four was a guesstimate quote I got a year ago when I provided them with the mechanical drwings with specs. The shipping might kill the deal though. I was going to pick them up maybe combined with a vacation but I cant afford a vacation so I guess I cant afford the springs either. Some good paying work will come around someday....or maybe alcan will lower their prices.

Is that stock configuration or is there a lift? I wouldn't think there would be a big price difference either way but curious nonetheless.

Just received my quote back form Alcan $480.00 for the front and $540.00 for the rear.

Wow. So the original $480 was per axle? Still hard to beat though.
