Agreed. The front bars you guys have are awesome and so applicable where I am. I have hit/killed 2 mule deer in the last year. The last one I did not have my belt on and headbutted the windshield and cracked it. The valance and bumper got tweeked too.
Tripper, Can't wait to see more great shots. What is that 40's-50's truck in the barn? Looks cool.

I think it's a 48 GMC. That's my neighbors in the pole barn that mother nature hated. He built a nice outbuilding which houses both my plow patrol and his GMC as well as the tractor.

We received 8 inches of snow this week so I figured I better get the beast out. Wouldn't start...plow doesn't work...lol. I let it sit under cover for a year but never started it. So I ended up charging the battery which is all but dead. Jump started it and managed to get it down next to my house. Hopefully going to clean a spot out of my garage and get it inside. Maybe even get somethings fixed on the damn thing!

I have over 18" of snow on my deck now...they called for 2-4 yesterday, I got 8 on top of the bunch we received on Wednesday/Thursday...
Good news is I put some time into my garage and managed to actually pull Plow Patrol into a comfy heated resting place so I can get some things in order. I've been putting the charger to it pretty heavily and it seems to be helping. I replaced the fluid in the plow hydraulics and it is working but still anemic at best. I'm thinking about mounting that Warn winch I rebuilt and using it for the plow. Kind of tired of trying to keep the hydraulic setup running (old Meyers T-5/T-6 model) and the winch could pull double duty.

So, good news that I finally picked up a wrench in way too long.

That must be a good feeling. See, look how inspiring the forum can be! It's got me inspired to buy another Patrol to resurrect.

I pulled the plow off today and started hacking the mount off. I'm trying to save the bumper so I've been using a sawzall for now....ughh. Hope to get some more time on it tomorrow as I'd love to get the bumper off completely. The PO...well, some PO, welded the upper plow support to the tow hooks. I think I've managed to cut them without damaging the hooks. Next will be to remove the plate that was mounted on the front of the bumper. I'll do what I can with the blades and some grinding wheels and then bring the plasma cutter home this week.
