this is red six ( i know she is orange) which is my farm hack. she cost me the fuel to pick her up on the car trailer and tow her home.
stock drive line, bad brakes, slipping clutch, and rust. ok down sides out of the way she was FREE  .....

the good bits. decent rear tow bar -which i have managed to bend badly after the carb cut out going up a creek wall- which reminded me to fix the brakes, but only AFTER i ran backwards into the other creek wall at 20-30kmph when they wouldn't pull me up
modified arb cruiser front bull bar.
32x11.5r15 muddies on neg 30 15x8 inch rims
suspension drivers bucket seat
pass side bucket seat of unknown origin
original rear fold down seat.
extractors and 2.5 inch zorst
holley carb, brilliant on fuel!. just really sucks when going up a steep hill or creek wall
bolt on coil kit and lightened rear springs under the rear, the ride is so supple its unreal
custom air box.
vacuum master brake cylinder.

mods:
none really, all i have done to her is give her a guard chop and bolt the 35's under her. strange enough there was no discernible power loss going from the 32's to the 35's. gearing was a touch taller but as im in low range 90 percent of the time it doesn't matter.

long term plan (once i have a farm ute going) is to strip her and put all the good bits into the blue shorty and get it road registered (its got rust too but its still repairable).

atm though no plan is fixed in stone.

cheers

some more pics of red doing what she does best.... 4x4!
first 2 are of the only time i have had red stuck. went to drive across a "little" creek. turns out that i picked the spot that was exactly one wheel base length wide, with a 3ft log just right to hold reds bum off the creek bed and a mound on the front d side that meant she was crossed up, hung up and had between 1 and 3 ft of air under 2 of the 4 wheels. all she needed to get out was a light tug backwards from a mate and she gripped and pulled herself the rest of the way out.

last pic is a poser shot in my rock crawling course. good pic but...

:happy-smileygiantred: That's great, thanks for the write up. I love the poser shot; it's an excellent example of the result of 33's and stock fenders. Having the stock rear seats is pretty rare for the G60's from what I understand. So awesome seeing the Patrol doing what it does best! :D

... um riverpatrol...... they are 35x12.5R15's .

the fenders have been trimmed 1 inch or there abouts too. should have taken off 2 inches. or stuck with rims no wider than neg 18. the rims the 35's are on are neg 22 or 25 i think, and they only just touch at maximum flex while at full lock. the suspension is still all stock, with no lift and lots of sag- barring the add a coil set up in the rear

Damn! That's amazing that you don't notice any power loss with 35s. I have heard people say that about other vehicles when they put really tall tires on. The Patrol has such a huge amount of torque though, it seems it can handle it.

yep thay have plenty of torque for sure. i can let the clutch out at idle and she will walk away without stalling, even on a little bit of a grade. i imagine top end power would notice the larger tires, but down low she doesnt care 8-)
you could put that down to the large exhaust and extractors too, as they free up the bottom end torque by a large margin.
