Other than some grease spots the image quality isn't so bad, after converting it to b&w. Front side is Nissan Patrol, rear side is Nissan Cedric. Gotta love that trident!!

I was thinking on printing one bigger (if feasible) and place it in my garage. The Esso one will be awesome as well.

Thanks Leslie & Esteban. Yeah, I had originally scanned it in color, but the switch to b&w got me thinking that it could be de-greased with some time and dedication and a standard paint application. Maybe I'll try that sometime soon. Having this one and the much more detailed esso chart printed out would be a pretty cool reference to have. If you're interested in 1:1 scale printing, off the top of my head this one measures 8.5"x14.5. If you want exact measurements just let me know.
scaling up in size is easy but, from my experience in printing, you will want a cleaner image. Definitely would want to use a traditional printshop with an in house graphic designer. If you go to a chain they will just use the file image and expand it w/o real cleanup other than an automatic program, then run it through a digital printer. Traditional place might very well print a proof after cleanup using an experienced persons discretion, then old school photo shoot, strip, burn and print it on an offset, or skip the proof and use a digital printer... Sounds like a step back, but either way, experienced people trump computerized 20-somethings any day. ...when it comes to printing... imo... . Might cost more but the difference is worth it.
