Nissan Diesel SD33 Engine - Could make an interesting swap. Does anyone know what trans could be fitted to this?

It's been done before. One Patrol has an automatic behind the SD33, the other has a Patrol 4spd. The first one just sold for about the fourth time since it was built. The builder sold it because it was a dog and very disappointing. The 2nd one has yet to be completed.

Thanks River, no interest in swapping from my end just looked interesting. I did google some SD33 info and they were not very powerful were they.

The engine has a bid now and I am very curious what they will do with it.
I will confess I want this configuration to work and believe it can and be well done but....
.....I may not be the guy with the deep mechanical background required to truly end up with a better than original. Why would you go do mods unless they are just absolutely better than the original engineers design. I ask myself if I think I am better than the genius engineers that made our beloved Patrols? I can hardly finish the sentence and know the answer even with new advances.
I'll point out two people that I know who have ability and confidence could do this....My buddy Bill O and Rawmi.
