I was told all the 1980 Scouts came with a Nissan turbo diesel, and all the prior diesel Scouts were the Nissan non-turbo diesel.
I wouldn't mind having a turbo diesel out of a Scout, but wouldn't sacrifice one in good shape just for the engine.
