Can anyone tell me which is the drain plug for the water jacket. Last time I pulled the head off I took them all out and nothing came out.

It's only one, on the right side of the engine, at cylinder #6. The typical problem is that all the rust and scale end up there.

Remove the petcock and use a thick wire from a clothes hanger and start digging in. Eventually the water will start coming out. Keep some fresh water running while you keep working there.

Use a good coolant solution or antifreeze, even if where you live you don't needed. Will also raise significantly the boiling point, so that means less pressure in the system. And no rust problems.

Hi, both the 77 and 78 are well and truly clogged up, the 78 (Blue G60) Is the worst of the two. I've dug into both and haven't had any water come from either, what's the best advice, I've dug about 4cm in and with a screwdriver, no go yet ??

Any advice greatly appreciated,

You could try replacing the drain petcock with a hose bib and run water into it under pressure. Be sure to remove something at the other end of the engine so the water has somewhere to go. You could also connect a stiff, small diameter hose to your hose and then fish that around in the hole to "hydro-excavate" the crud out. If none of that works, you'll have to knock out freeze plugs for access to hydro-excavate other areas inside the block.
