New fuse block........and Voila, lights work!

Today I installed a new fuse block in the Patrol and Voila, lights work! While not OEM, it works very well and looks pretty good plus I think it will solve some of the electrical gremlins. I was able to cut the brass bus bar to mimic what the original had. Worked out well.

Nice. I love this straight forward DIY. It does look stockish too which is a plus. Now this is behind you and you will probably never have to worry about it again, period!

I havent had a chance to test everything yet but I noticed that the Emergency flashers now work, Gauge lights and Parking lights just for starters.

Nice work trimming the brass to make it similar to stock. I considered purchasing that fuse box but didn't know how difficult it would be to make the cuts. I wish all my electrical gremlins were solved when I changed mine.

I think that is called a "hood" Nissan # 65101-44000.....maybe try your local Nissan dealership.

Believe it or not, the Patrol fuse blocks came with a cover that is held on with a thumbscrew. They are usually missing because people forget to put them back on.

Thanks for the compliments..... The brass bus bar was thin enough to cut with tin snips. Very easy.

No cover.....yet... I did notice the threaded bolt that extended up on the OEM fuse block and figured that it was for a cover.

i still have the cover on mine. if and when i start having trouble, i plan to just take the fuse holder off, and try cleaning it up before swapping it out. the guys at datsun parts sells a replacement cover for the roadster guys. i wonder if it might fit on the Patrol?
