Marks 5 speed Pilot Bush, Spigot Bush, Rear Crank Bush Notes

Post by Swerve »

All,

Just some notes on spigot bushes for those changing to a Marks 5 Speed.

Original Bush
1” Long, 15/16 Outside Diam, (20mm) Inside Diam

Marks 5 Speed Bush
1” Long, 15/16 Outside Diam, (16mm) 5/8 Inside diam

Can buy a impregnated bronze bush 5/8 ID 1" OD and 1 1/4 long from CBC bearings (In Oz) for about $8, Cost $50 for the machining.

New original bushes available from Nissan Australia for $29 AUD

Left, New one to be machined
Middle, G60 original,
Right, the one I got from Marks ? it might be a spacer but isnt a Spiggot Bush for the G60 (Sorry Bags)

Steve, in my notes I have the original pilot bushing with slightly different internal diameter:

Outside Diam.: 15/16"
Inside Diam: 3/4"
Length: 1"

Being the old Patrols all in standard measurements, I'm more inclined to 3/4" as the internal diameter. I hope somebody might be able to measure the input shaft and confirm.
