60Patrol

We kicked off our family patrol project this weekend. Obviously we need a place to do the work... so we started adding in a driveway from the alley. I've learned two things: 1) Shoveling gravel is hard work; and 2) it's easy to get a 2wd Frontier stuck in fresh, deep gravel!

Someday we'll top that gravel with concrete!

LOL! Once it's been compacted the Frontier should be able to manage it okay.

The driveway is as done as it's going to get. A couple hours exploiting Family Patrol's source of child labor and the new gravel driveway has been compacted. The two new-to-us Patrols will arrive sometime late this week. Perhaps we need to name them: FP1 (our first -- while soft-top), FP2 (orange hard top) and FP3 (green hard top parts patrol)?

Kids working after dark - gotta be some child labor law violations there. Great way to exploit the energy those kids have!

They're here! They're here! The two new (to us) patrols were delivered this morning. Took a bit of a shoehorn to get the tow truck into and out of the driveway, but the driver was a good sport (and earned a tip too!) and we worked them in while the kids are at school. They will be pretty excited when they get home.

The front bumper on Orangie is perfect!!! Also, I notice a PO swapped out the side windows with a fixed piece of glass.....CBlake did this option too which seemed a good slamdunk. Side rubber for the sliding originals is available with a group buy of 10 sets or more.
Good job on it all....bummer they dont have drive shafts between all of them.

Yea... Between all three, I have one front drive line. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will want to ditch a few!
