I used to have a 1983 with the same body but fitted with the P40 engine. Loved that wagon.
This one is with the 2.8L gasoline engine. Almost the same HP. Lots of aftermarket parts for the engine due to the Datsun Z series engine, including a turbo

I'm sure it was the next generation of Patrols. Basically the same body with wider fenders. Totally different engine and suspension. NATO chose it due to the reliability. This was at the time that the 4.2L engine on the Land Cruisers was popping the timing chains any day of the week.bosque wrote:This is the style that NATO used I think......
