1965 Nissan Patrol

Post by csbaldwin21 »

Too many projects, not enough garage space, and I'm most likely about to move - sadly I need to part ways from my Patrol.

1965 Nissan Patrol - It's a sweet rig that I had planned to restore, but it has moved down on my priority list. Need the garage space and the funds for my current build. I haven't done a whole lot to it.

The engine needs to be rebuilt. It is a Nissan P40 inline 6 cylinder. I have it stripped down to the block ready to go to the machine shop. I found a source for rebuild parts - the same engine was used in Nissan fork lifts up until '83 I believe. I also located service manuals for the engine and the overall vehicle, which I printed and have in binders.

I took the awful time to continuity test every wire on the engine bay wiring harness, if you can even call it that, and labeled each wire. Also, have multiple pictures of where the components go and how the wiring was setup.

It only has two very small rust spots that I have found. One on the driver side inner fender and one on the passenger side rear of the tub. Both are smaller than a playing card. Also, the passenger front fender and the passenger side of the grill are slightly tweaked - nothing a decent body shop can't easily fix.

It is complete with all factory components as far as I can tell, including the rear jump seats, rear doors, and oil bath filter.

Located in East Tennessee about an hour South of Knoxville.
I hate to get rid of it, but I need the space and money. $2,000 firm

Red- ugh. I have one too many red Patrols already; and Tennesee is quite the road trip from Az. 35 hours driving each way. But I do like those wheels ;) Tell me that the hubcap on the spare is original, and that you also have 4 more of those...

Sorry, but the timing is terrible- my wife came home today with another horse (number 3) -

Wait a minute - 3 horses, and I only have two Patrols.... maybe the math actually is working in my favor... :geek:

Best I can tell, the spare hub cap is original; however, that is the only one I have.

The original hubcaps are shaped a little different.
