Factory or Aftermarket Air Conditioning

Won't run? Engine, cooling system, fuel pump, carb, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Engine & Mechanical' category are here.

Show us a photo, then the forum members can vote; "Factory" or "Aftermarket", "Dealer Add-On". or "Port Add-On".
(I think Leslie should be excluded from voting, she is too well informed ;-)

I say dealer add on. I've seen that same compressor before in the couple of AC equipped Datsun 510s I've owned over the years (boy do I miss those 510s... but that's another story). Had a really cool matching underdash blower and vent set up. I bought that car from the original owner who claimed it was a dealer add on. So there, I've stuck my neck out on "Dealer Add On"

Looking at the CL ad , the PO may have just added it on for "on board air". Ive seen lots of older rig and even current ones using a york compressor as an air source.. Just a thought.
(insert clever saying here)
