If it doesn't fit in the others but is 60 series related, post it up.

Unusual Diffs in New Zealands MWB G60's

Post by G60michael »

Just browsing over some old photos, and I remember a while back i noticed robs30m 1969 MWB Converted to Ute G60 had a Small type C216 in the back, Unusual being a C216 in a MWB Rear diff in a 60 Series, all 60 Series patrol MWB's over the world i have seen have all had the H260.

The other day i was searching the net and found another 1969 G60 MWB Hardtop Wagon in New Zealand, again unusually enough the C216 in the Rear

Any Ideas why this is

Michael, only in Australia they came standard with the heavy duty diff, that was an option according to the brochures. In Ecuador, from where I originally come from, every SWB and MWB came only with the lighter duty differential. In Colombia where 99% of Patrols are MWB the same thing happened.

You were very lucky in Australia!

My truck that came from Saudi has the H260 rear diff. That might be because it's a ute though.
Beyond any hope for intervention
