Re: 1979 Nissan Patrol LG-60
This seems to be a very nice Patrol. I think it is still in Columbia, but will coming to the states soon. I know he has had a lot of work done to the Patrol recently, although is was in very sweet condition to start with. Here is his Facebook page with posts about the Patrol's progress: https://www.facebook.com/volcan4x4?hc_location=stream . It would be nice to see this Patrol get the asking price; it would certainly increase the value of all the others.

More discussion on the vehicle:
http://forum.ih8mud.com/other-vehicles/ ... 900-a.html
The statement in the ebay ad is interesting:
"To address some of the reservations regarding parts sourcing for classic Nissan Patrols I offer the following. 35 year old trucks will always need maintenance and repairs. In this case the truck has been thoroughly restored and recently reviewed. I have access to nearly all the parts needed in Colombia. Also nearly all parts are available via ebay parts specialists in Australia."
It would be great to have a list of the parts he has access to in Colombia.

The thread linked is about a G61, not this Patrol for sale.zed wrote:More discussion on the vehicle:

You'd be amazed at what is available in Colombia. The biggest problem with having stuff shipped here is the unfriendly commerce regulations between countries. Thank you Pablo Escobar.

Re: 1979 Nissan Patrol LG-60
Yes I am the man behind Volcan 4x4. I have done about 10 trucks for 2014 wrestling with the Colombia bureaucracy. Beautiful country to visit but very trying to do business in.
I am working my 2nd Patrol which is a 1977 LG60 in red with 68,000 miles and one owner. The most original truck I have purchased so far. Truck has all original interior, tools, jack, owners manual and most of the paint. We will not be adding any power steering etc. Wont even put bigger tires on it.
We are hand forming a traditional style metal bar soft top for it and replacing the original 1977 soft top on it. plus another soft top.
This truck is sold to a collector. I have done mostly Toyotas because the Nissans are just not that commercially marketable. I hope that that changes which I think is already happening in a small way as the Toyotas still keep taking off in price and popularity.

Check out the interior. All original. The visors and door cards were under plastic just until recently. This is a rare find even for someone who is hunting around for them. This truck is much much more original than the blue one.
Not to pull people away from the forum but I have a ton of photos on facebook to enjoy. Truck is not completed yet but we are sympathetically restoring so other than the top and the mechanical review you won't see many changes.
