U535XXX. The clerk said it could be a CVN. Confidential VIN Number and that it should be stamped on the left front fender under the hood. I scraped, scoured and scrubbed and couldn't find anything. Anybody got any ideas? My only other option is to get a bonded title which is an even more agonizing process

Hi all, I'm having a good go-round with my local DMV. The "vin" listed on my title does not match the car number on my ID plate. My titled vin is

Re: CVN number??
I ran into the same issue with my Ebay Patrol out of Texas... the VIN on the title did not match any number on the vehicle.
I chose the bonded title route - took me 20 minutes to type and send a letter I knew no one would ever read, and $125 for the Surety bond.

Re: CVN number??
Yeah I'm thinking that's how I'm gonna have to go. I guess I only have myself to blame. I should have checked the title as I was buying it and put it on the seller. Oh well! Nobody said owning a Patrol was easy
