Engine Mounts?
Does anyone have a source for front engine mounts?
Despite my best attempts, both bolts on one of my front engine mounts snapped when going through the processs of removing the engine. Has anyone tracked down a source or a suitable replacement for the front engine mounts?

Re: Engine Mounts?
If you can put your hands on one, I'd be happy to buy it off you. I believe they're identical, but the right front one is the one that snapped on me.RiverPatrol wrote:I might have some used ones in a box somewhere.

Re: Engine Mounts?
Ah - thanks for the info - I'm going to go ahead and contact them and see if I can just replace all 4 mounts for a reasonable price. I won't be taking out the engine again any time soon!

Re: Engine Mounts?
I contacted Road Runner Off Road, and they said they could get them. $45 Aus for each mount, and $85 Aus to ship to the US. But they were unavailable until August. I don't know if this means first or last of August - I don't really want my engine sitting around for an extra month waiting on mounts.
So.... RiverPatrol, if you're able to track down a mount, please let me know. Otherwise, I may be ordering some.

Keith
I just spoke to Ted at Then and Now to ask them for more detail, since they do not list the Patrol in their engine mount re-vulcanizing service.
He said they do not currently have a die to fit the Patrol's mounts, but that is just a matter of making the die from a set of existing mounts.
He's going to call me back in the morning after he talks to their machinist, and if it's reasonable price-wise, I'll ship them the 4 mounts from my red Patrol for them to make their dies from...
