Thanks for sharing Darren its a ripper of a G60

I noticed its appears to have a 1960s G60 Gearbox in it looking at the shifter leavers, and its got a single master cylinder, my 72 has a dual, I though all 72 had a dual master cylinder.

you maybe right there mate i thought it had a strange setup it does look like someones added a different brake setup will have to look into that if anyone else knows anything about it would appreciate the help does the gearbox have any markings i can look for to tell what year it is

It looks like power brakes were added, the the vacuum booster is on the wrong side of the car.

I like how it has the early heater box with 3 defroster hoses coming off of it. When you can get a closer pic of that I'd love to see more of it.

That's a fun looking Patrol. You should get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I like how the bull bar has a screen to catch the small stuff.

The power booster is of the indirect type and pretty much you can install it in any location.

Thanks for the pictures. You indeed have the light duty rear diff as in most of the Patrols outside Australia. The diff is the same as the one in the front.

I have one of those remote boosters on my '75, but mounted on the RH side inner guard - can't say how well it works, sorry - I've never actually driven that one...previous owner seemed to think it worked ok.

The compliance plate matches the rear diff and springs, but I'm wondering if the speedo has been swapped ( MPH only dial ) ? Nice to see one rolling on split rims, and that bullbar is one I see quite often on these Patrols in the for sale ads - must have been a commercial thing back in the day. Solid looking towbar too - will protect the fuel tank if ever you get hung up at the rear.

My 73 has MPH, were as my 72 has kph ? go and figure, my only guess is you could choose what you wanted etc

...or you got what was laying about in the parts store. Just wondered 'cos Datto 1600s went to km/h in 1970.

Gotta love the optimism - 80mph - in a soft top shorty...that's one ride I don't want a ticket for !

Still got it, but the older I get the more I appreciate how lucky I've been to get away with...erm...less than exemplary judgement in the past

and maybe single circuit drum brakes scare me a bit too...
