Then and Now Automotive...

Post by moore_rb »

One of these fuel pumps is brand new from a forklift supply company, and cost me 153 bucks with shipping.

The other one was totally shot. Dried out, cracked diaphragm, leaking gas like crazy; so I sent it to Then and Now to be rebuilt, and it arrived back 5 days later. Total cost: $119 (including shipping both ways)

So far I can't say enough good things about these guys.

They currently have 4 of my motor mounts (2 front, 2 rear), and by Thanksgiving they will have a mold made from them to be able to re-vulcanize the 60 Patrol's motor mounts.

Can you share some contact info for Then and Now? I'd like my fuel pump to get the love treatment!

Robert,
Now that your are a customer of Then and Now, any chance they will sell the rebuild kit (including diaphragm ) no they know what parts are needed for a complete rebuild?
Thanks,
Keith

I just got the call from Ted @ Then & Now... If you remember, I mailed my fuel pump to T&N in Massachusetts from California on Tuesday afternoon... Today is Thursday early afternoon. Anyway, I said "great, you got the fuel pump. That was quick" -- He says, "yea... and we're finished rebuilding it. It's going out Priority Mail today." Wow! Our postal service kicks butt!

Rob, I'm with you -- These guys are awesome! Also, you might be interested to hear that Ted asked me if I happened to know the factory part numbers for the motor mounts... so he's obviously thinking about you! BTW, in case you're interested -- the mounts are the same left & right on both the front and rear. The front mount Nissan part number is 11223-44000 and the rear is 11328-44002.

Keith -- I asked if they will sell rebuild kits for the fuel pump. Ted said "not at this time, Patrol pumps ares rebuild only."

I'll post pics when the pump arrives home...

John,
Thank you for asking.

Several weeks ago, I spoke with Fuel pump rebuilder Arthur Gould (http://arthurgouldrebuilders.com/) 631-269-0093 in Kings Park, NY. I cannot attest to the quality or customer service. I was quoted $100, 1 day to rebuild. Unfortunately, He does not currently sell a rebuild kit.
Just another option for future reference.
