Clutch thickness?

I've searched around the forum and in the manual, but can't find it anywhere.

Can someone tell me what the acceptable thickness range is for the clutch (for the abrasive material)?

I'm working on my clutch issues so I just happen to have the manuals open to that page! The older manual says the free thickness should be 0.417" free (by free, I believe they mean not-installed)... but that's it! No range, no installed thickness. However, the '78 manual has more data about the clutch and lists the thickness range. It's 0.358" to 0.382" installed and 0.398" to 0.417" free. The wear limit is based on the rivet depth. If it's shallower than 0.012" -- time for a rebuild! I suppose that if it's thinner than 0.358" when installed, regardless of the rivet depth, it would be considered worn out too. Anyway, here's the page.

Manual says the Clutch Disc should be .47 inches. It also says replace lining if the surface is worn to the rivets or is there is scaring or it is hardened. As per page 39 of the service manual.
