Greetings, as the title states "old flame". No, not the physical type but an emotional flame. I have a 64 that I bought when I was 16 which was many moons ago. I spent countless hours with her then life happened. It has been in storage with her 67 companion since '91 and the years have taken their toll. They were both vandalized while in storage with the "67 taking the brunt of the abuse. Driver side door kicked in virtually all of the glass destroyed she needs lots of love. The '64 suffered only a broken passenger door handle and NOS parts liberated.
Now they reside in the back yard awaiting the completion of the shop. I am glad to have found this group and thankful for the opportunity to join.

The hunt begins for long lost parts to bring the '64 back to life. The last time I worked on it I was able to go to town and buy any part over the counter. Wow, what a reality check.
The '64 has lots of body damage to the rear quarters and the PO screwed sheet metal over the existing body panels to make it look uniform and then rattled cammo paint all over. A 16 year olds dream cruiser

Shortly after I purchased it I decided that the engine needed to be rebuilt. The '67 was purchased 8 years later from the father of a 16 year old who trashed the tranny. It also has a rebuilt engine with very few miles ( but years of storage ).
Enough rambling, I will post pictures of them and the VIN's soon.
