I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that this ad is for the remains of the parts truck from San Bernadino that Mr. Gerk purchased:

Just guessing

You would be correct sir.

I am not going use as much as I thought I would.

Those wheels are yours if you still want them and that's why in the ad it says they are spoken for.

The springs and axles seem to be in excellent shape. The body is rough however.

I know that Patrol tubs are going to be difficult to come by and I don't want to commit blasphemy. HOWEVER how close are these chassis to fj40 chassis? Would a FJ tub closely fit?

FJ40 tubs are configured entirely different. I think they are quite a bit narrower also.
Beyond any hope for intervention

HEHEHE .... I wasn't going to touch this one, however :  I think a 72-newer CJ5 tub and fenders could be made to fit the Patrol's 86 inch wheelbase more easily than an FJ40 body (which is designed for a 90 inch wheelbase)...

the 72 and newer CJ5 had an 84 inch wheelbase, which I think is about as close as you can get; and they are pretty easy to find (both originals in scrap yards, as well as steel/fiberglass reproductions)
