New to the group, but excited to be apart. Resident of Norman, Oklahoma and thought I was in the market for an FJ40 until I stumbled upon 1969 Patrol K60 in need of some TLC. Currently does not rim, but have been told by seller that it only needs a distributor.....from what I have read I may be in for a long road of sweat, pain and tears but I'm ready. Hope to meet everyone soon.

Welcome to 60Patrol!

You're not the first FJ40 lover that the Patrol has converted.
You're not alone in OK. Bill will probably chime in with his location on OK.
Finding a distributor shouldn't be too hard. There are a couple of ways to go on that. Search the forum, there are a few threads regarding the distributor.
Post up or send me your VIN number and engine number and I'll see the it gets added to the Registry.

Excellent. Sorry, think I posted twice, you can disregard the second post, I was not sure if I had submitted it earlier. I'll forward pics soon.

Welcome to 60Patrol! Congrats on the purchase...
The most common (and least expensive) drop in distributor seems to be the century model from Helmar:

And here is a post I made after I researched all the necessary replacement part numbers for this distributor, as well:

Another Okie patrol to come to life ?!
I'm in Owasso. Driving/restoring a "68 sold as 69" .
I'd welcome communication or a visit anytime.
Is your distributor missing, or just thought bad?
