That would be awesome! I almost got the kids a 3D printer for Xmas... Maybe next year.

The printing part is the easy step, the 3D file is the hard part. I checked with a guy that does 3D scanning and he told me that its not just as easy as scanning and printing. That there is a lot of "fixing" the scan in between. I think he quoted me like $150-200 to scan and create a printable file, maybe more depending on how much touchup had to be done. If there is someone out there that can scan these into a useable file then there are several places online that will print them for you, even in metal!

I think The kids would have to stand in line behind Dad to use it.

We have a plastic 3D scanner here at work. It would be interesting to see what the outcome would be. But, we don't have a 3D scanner.

Well within the next couple of weeks im going to try my luck casting the patrol emblems out of aluminum
