Has anyone ever sourced the original seat material for a 1967 patrol? Are the interior door panels an off white or a grey color? Thanks

Hmmmm..... should we still be answering the new guy's questions, when he still hasn't posted a single picture from his project...????

The textured door panels were sort of an eggshell white. I have not begun the search for seat vinyl yet, but I think 67's were still using a solid, medium gray textured vinyl - I don't think the optional "premuim" two tone gray and black seat vinyl was offered yet in 67?...- The gurus will correct me if I am wrong about that :P

Ya, you are right Rob, silver and black came out in 68 on the seats. Somewhere a long time ago I read a brochure from 68 that stated this was a "deluxe" option. Been a long time though and don't know if it was one of the brochures in my collection or one I saw online. At some point I will check my stack of literature for that one as well as the one that listed all the Datsun dealerships in the USA on the back. Thing is I don't think I have ever seen anything else besides silver and black on USA 68+ Patrols. Maybe plain black on some 69's? Back seats were just black.

Front seat frames up to 67 are wrapped in a heavier textured grey vinyl. At least x4 the texture in it if not more. We have found that a Toyota version of both is a very close match. So heavy texture and slightly darker on the frames and the actual covers being less texture and slightly lighter in color.

The door panels are made a specific way to get the texture, my upholstery guy told me all about how it is done. He will go for the same texture on our reproduction panels.

Cheers
