Speedo cable assembly and gaskets

Hello all,

I had a leak on my speedo cable assembly. I pulled it off and I am not sure what kind of O rings and gasket needed. I have two gasket with a kit I found. A small gasket that looks like an outputs shaft seal but about 1/4" in diameter and a white round rubber gasket. I feel like it needs an O ring by the speedo assembly shaft.

I was wondering if anyone can provide a detail blueprint or hand drawn illustration that shows all the gaskets and O rings?

I would appreciate it soo much.

Thanks all.

Rafael

Typically the O-rings and gasket are all part of the cable assembly. There aren't any serviceable parts for the cable itself.

There is usually a cable listed on eBay.

I had similar leakage at the cable attach point on the trans.
If you drain the case, then remove the drive-gear housing
and drive gear, you should find remnants of a shaft seal in that drive
housing. (I haven't looked at transmission parts diagram, so I'm
not sure what's shown or available)
A seal supply place could measure your parts and provide a seal.
It's not a common o-ring size...the cross section is very heavy for that small
diameter. I scrounged through a bunch of fuel hoses and found a size I
could cut a donut from. It's been leak free over a year now.
If this shaft is sealed correctly, there should be no oil leaks even with the cable
assembly disconnected.
