Biggest-longest trip you have done in your Patrol

I have been thinking for awhile now about taking a Patrol down to Baja. That is once I have one worthy! I don't think I would want to do the drive from Wyoming to the border in it though, that is 1,000 miles of HWY. But once in Baja it would be awesome, speed limit is max 55mph in all of Baja.
So what is the longest trip you have ever done in your Patrol?
For me it has always just been local. I think 200 miles is about the max I have ever done in one, in one day playing around here in Wyoming. Hoping my Ute will change that though with the 5spd and diesel plus good range. If I ever end up taking a Patrol to Baja the Ute will likely be it. In fact I am considering the Ute to Baja being it first real test and break in of the truck.
I know the Aussies have done the Simpson Desert in their G60's, which is impressive.
Cheers

The '67 I owned back in the 90's (the bluish one in my sig below) used to take me back and forth to school whenever the weather was nice, and that was a 40 mile trip each way... I probably did that 80 mile round trip 10 or 12 times over 2 years... But that would be the longest (and the farthest from the tool box,

) that any of my Patrol's have ever ventured.
I have greater road trip aspirations for the 65 hardtop when it is done...

Cool stuff Rob, daily driving a Patrol. Not been many times I have done that over the years. I did DD my 67 way back in the early 90's to work but as I recall it was parked more than it got me to work. Spent a lot of time working on that truck back then, and I was young and poor so that Patrol took forever to get repairs done.
Perhaps when the Ute is done and you got a Patrol done we can meet up and do a jaunt down into Baja. I know you are closer to the border than me, by a lot! If I drove the Ute down I would take the back roads. Down through the Flaming Gorge and Moab.
Cheers

I've been driving my Patrol for so long, with it being a daily driver for 40 years...
For my honeymoon in 76, yes, in the Patrol! we did 340 miles each way. Then numerous summer trips to different beaches in Ecuador that averaged around 300 miles each way.
Has been on the Ecuadorean Amazon Jungle a couple of times, and at close to 15,000 feet of altitude (4,500 meters) in the Cotopaxi volcano.
But one of the most exciting trips was actually driving it near the White House and the Capitol grounds when I got here!

Basically lived in my patrol ute hermit for months of weekend trips when she was on the road. Longest trip standing alone, i did just over 1500km. But i did hundreds of daily trips of 300-500km. She was great until she started playing up a little bit, then it was all down hill. Would never reccommend a falcon motor conversion now in a 4wd aplication........
Still waiting to get my sd33t into hermit. Cant do it myself cause of my back, but my mechanic has vanished again........he does that.....

Drove it off the trailer and into the shed once, reckon I did about 50ft. It was awesome.

The first trip I made with my Willies Patrol was off a car trailer then about 15 blocks to set it in a car show a couple years ago. After driving it back to the trailer to load up, I made the decision to start drive it more on the road... This also made me brave enough to drive it about 10 miles when we moved..This was on a 60 mph freeway... kept it at about 50 mph... and then took the first exit that enabled me to take a side road to make it to the new place.. haven't had insurance on it for a couple years. Since then I have driven it out of the shop and back into the shop periodically to shuffle vehicles...

Made an uneventful, though unrelaxing, 82 mile Patrol voyage today.
She seemed happiest at about 58 MPH. This was on a semi busy turnpike.
My longest trip so far.
Went to an old-timey fairgrounds auto swap meet. The only Patrol parts I saw
were a bunch of hubcaps. Guy wanted $5 each, so naturally I told him no deal.
There was a 1972 FJ for $2500. Needs a lot of love. I've got contact info and a couple
pics if somebody wants more info.

I'll take that contact info for the hubcaps.
