Datsun 311 Reflectors on Ebay

Post by moore_rb »

RMP&O has already confirmed that Datsun 311 reflectors are a cross-match to early 69 (leftover 68) and older Patrols...:

http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic ... 70&p=27377

well, here are some NOS 311 Everwing reflectors on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Roadster ... 1304874302

NOTE: The chrome base on these is wrong for the Patrol - Only the lense is correct. Early 66 and older Patrols used a raised, solid rubber platform base with a chrome bezel:
pre-66 Patrol_Reflector1.jpg
and late 66 to early 69's just used a flat rubber gasket between the reflector and the body of the Patrol...

If I remember correctly, the red reflector actually pops out of the chrome bezel on these. It has the same clip as the '66s do on the back, so it just clips in to the chrome bezel.
Beyond any hope for intervention

When you expand the picture on ebay, you can see that the "refrector " shown is an Everwing A7002. This is the same part that I have in all the reflectors I have ( over 10).....

But they're not for the 66's?

The items on ebay appear to be the correct ones.
Just need to split the reflector from the base. Easy enough to do as they are just a friction clip that holds the two pieces together. Toss the base or resell to recoup some of the $$ you spent.... :D

I should say they are correct for later year 66s. Where is your vehicle serial number in relationship to my 66 listed in registry? My 66 has the everwings.

I'm L60-06990, you're 073xxx & 076xxx. Does that put me in the same set up as you? I have 2 rectangular holes under each tail light that I assume are for the reflectors.

Exactly. Those small rectangular slots are for the reflectors. My earlier ones are just small round screw holes. The raised rubber edged ones just had a screw tru the back in the middle
