HI THERE.   The tires on my jonga are at the end of their life, and i am looking for new ones. The original 7x16 military tires i was using are of no good in the dessert sand so i am looking for biger tires that dont dig in.I like the bridgestone duellers but am not sure what size to use . Could any of you guys please tell me what size is VERN using in his patrol? They will do the job .Besides the look awesome.   thanx a lot   bikram

I think Vern has 35" tires but he also has lift. Like 3 or 4" of lift....   for sand you will be very happy with some Baja Claws. if you can get them over there. On stock heigth suspension you can go up to 33" tires with no rub. 34's will rub if you have it set up for flex and it is flexing to the max. A little bit of lift and you can run 35's no probs....but IIRC Vern said his still rubs a little.

Brutus,   Vern here, I have 33's with a 4" lift The rear fenders are cut out about 4" as well. I still rub on the larger bumps. My rims are offset quite a bit, if the tires weren't offset I probably wouldn't rub. Also I built a custom tire and gas can rack with all the added weight and the top on I rub more often. But when the top is off  I dont 't rub at all. I really want a soft top. Vern
