Well, I have had a lot on backorder from Nissan Auto Parts dot com, the parts have been trickling in for months. Today I got a set of rear leaf springs brand new from Nissan! These have been B/O since last November but they did show up. Lot's of other B/O parts came in also including Master Cylinders complete and new. I just recieved two sets of new embalms and a bunch of original weather stripping. So this stuff can still be gotten from Nissan but you have to be very patient. It is worth the wait if you are in need....simply order the parts from NAP.com and prepay, if it never shows up they refund your money....better than nothing.   Also a different Nissan Dealer is going to put the microfiche on CD and then resale it for $35 to the public. Yes this is the 1980 parts catalog and is the most complete one made for the 60 series Patrol. Nissan Japan uses the same catalog and it will be very valueable if you own a Patrol. Once it is a done deal and put on CD I will post who to contact to buy the microfiche. Realize this microfiche on CD will open up many parts you can not get right now. I know as I have got some of these parts....including a new distributor, tranny and transfer gears, front turn signal lamps complete, brake lines, alternator, oil pan, dip sticks and much more all new from Nissan direct from Japan!!     IAN

Hey Les...how goes your Patrol!?   I have 2 sources for getting parts, NAP.com and another dealer who is down in the southwest. The dealer in the SW was recommended to me by Nissan America and by Nissan Motorsports. They have done a good job getting me some NLA parts so far but no discount. NAP.com has been pre-charging me since last fall....I do not really like pre-paying. There are many things I have not been able to get but I think are still available. Tie rods, pitman arms, carb, u-joint or drive shaft parts, alot of tranny parts, shifter boots, knuckle flange seals, knuckle roller bearings (top&bottem), nothing for the steering box and yea there is some more. All this stuff I need for 2 of my 3 projects. There is also stuff I am trying to find from the later model 60 series made in the 70's. If you can source this stuff I would be more than happy to buy from you!     IAN

IAN!Hey I read where you finally got the REAR LEAF SPINGS IN!! I have been out of the patrol loop for awhile, new project at work has been keeping me bz. Anyway, can you give me the 1980 catalog numbers for the FRONT and REAR leaf springs? And who do you recomend I get them from? NAP? In that I recall you saying something about a place in TX that got stuff direct from JAPAN, yet your note made it sound like you got the LEAFS from NAP? Oh, and the associage hardware for LEAFS too, U-BOLTS and such. Grant   PS FUD.. send me your email addr agian... I got some info on RAG tops you might be interested in.. grantsenn@yahoo.com

no idea...have you tried calling them?? I do know that they were scaling back in late winter and laid off some people. I was not dealing with Peggy but another guy there...not sure what is up as I am using the Texas dealer these days, he seems to be giving me a discount now so I am happy. BTW, I just got in a complete new oil pan, 4 dipsticks, alternator, brake lines and a set of brake shoes from this Nissan Dealer in Texas. If you want his info Keith drop me a line and I will get it to you, with your microfiche you could order a lot from them.                Ian
