My first Patrol and a great find!!!

Fuel pump was rebuilt by Then and Now Automotive in Mass. Carburetor was rebuilt by Dynamic Industries in Fort Worth. Did an oil change and started it up . Ran just like a sewing machine but sounded like a tractor idling. Drives and handles great.

It's in really great condition, congratulations. Do you know any of its history? Where did it come from?

I know it came from Manitou Springs Colo. as the last owner. It is on the USA registry here as of 2005. The owner on the registry was patrolman. I don't think that's the guy I bought it from but I will try and trace the history. It has been preserved with TLC as far as the inside and under the hood. Some minor body damage. I would like to know if it should be restored (body) or should it be left alone? Any comments or opinions would be appreciated. Other than tires and wheels most of the Patrol is original.

It really depends on what your intended use is for it. It is already a great daily driver that can be taken off-road. It is a good candidate for restoration, but you would need to decide how for to go with it. A frame off restoration is a huge job, and you won't have use of the vehicle for a couple of years at least. What are your mechanical skills? Then, once you're done it's too nice to use off-road, so it will be mostly garaged and taken out on Sunday's. You have to decide.

I kind of like it as it is. If anything it would probably be just a good repaint and body work..
