Locating numbers

Post by mattmctree@gmail.com »

I'm trying to locate all the numbers on my truck to see if they all match. I'm assuming that other than the name plate and the engine there would be one stamped on the frame somewhere? Where are they all located? I have a feeling I'll have to get a die grinder out with a wire wheel to clean them up so I can see them

The engine number is in the passenger side of the engine, towards the front, on a flat ledge about 2/3rds of the way down. It starts with a 'P'. The VIN number on the frame is in close proximity to the engine number. Once you locate the engine number, look at the frame. It will be on the top surface of the frame, back towards the firewall but not as far back as the firewall. It is about even with the exhaust pipe.
Beyond any hope for intervention
