60Patrol

Hello, new to the forum and a new owner of a 1969 hardtop. Going a different route with the build on this one and will have quite a few parts available soon. After a quick tune-up I've been daily driving the Patrol the past few days. Happy to take pictures and video of everything running and driving prior to selling any of it. I don't intend on digging iinto the build for a few months but figured I'd get some feeler out on parts that will be available.

Engine- Runs great, No smoke, waterproof dizzy, new plugs coil and wires. Holy carb that says it was rebuilt in 2012. The carb could use a little bit of work. Haven't done a compression test but willing to do so and document it. Top end is pretty clean. Valve cover leaks a bit and rear main has a few dribbles.

3 speed trans and transfer case- 1st synchros are a bit rough. Other than that it shifts smooth and drives good

PTO and old school Warn winch. No winch cable.

Front and rear driveshafts

Front and rear axles and suspension

Front 60/40 and rear jump seats. Need new foam and covered.

Front seatbelts. In fair need to be cleaned codition

Gas tank- hadn't checked the condition inside
That's a start. Basically I'm keeping the body land frame

Sure, post up some pics and video. It would be nice to get the VIN and engine numbers to add to the Registry for posterity, too.

Curious as to what direction you will go with the drive train.
I have 2 Patrols that I picked up basically for retirement projects.
1 had a fairly clean body for the south and I would like it to stay as close to stock as possible, but for now needs more work to get running than the other one.
The other one has body damage, but is the one I am trying to get running just to drive on occasion until I can put a Nissan 4.0L, tranny, Atlas II, and modern suspension under. For the next several years, though, it will remain stock set up.

I have a '73 and am interested in the winch/PTO. Wondering if the '69 parts would work on my '73? Also count me in on the front seat belts.

They will. All the mechanicals are interchangeable, specially if it is a complete assembly rather than parts within it. Patrols have changed very little over the years.

Hey nisstec, I'd definitely be interested in your rear seats...I don't have anything so even frames are a great starting point. Thanks, Darren in Louisville, KY.
