stock front bumper

Post by L60Boerne »

I am looking for a stock front bumper in good condition for our 1965. It has a twin pipe bumper now if anyone wants it.It dips in the middle so the hank crank will fit. I think pictures of the bronze Presidio Patrol shows it.

Citroa.com had replica one for sale. There prices are pretty fair from my experience.

Thank you Matt, I've requested a quote. It seems to be a Chinese supplier? If you or anyone you know has had any parts delivered please let me know.
Thanks,
David

stock front bumper

Post by Mattbob53 »

When the parts I ordered came it was from Columbia. I know someone also had a floor pan ordered and I believe it was good quality but the hole where off just a bit. I ordered rear bumpers as a test and got them. They are good but hole where off a bit, nothing I couldn't fix. At some point I plan on ordering front fenders

I got pans from them. Needed a little "massaging" to fit properly.

I would think it would be cheaper, faster and easier to get one made out of a little heavier gauge steel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it pretty much just a piece of C channel that has some arc to it???

Just my thoughts.

Thanks Matt & Justin, because of your help I now know the Columbian source is an option. Question? Did you get your parts shipped to your garage or did you have to get involved in the importation? I also agree a domestically made bumper would be cheap and easy too. I think I will try to dig for specs on the front bumper or hopefully an un-needed one will surface.

If you mean garage as in my house then yes. I had no issues, although the Feds might be watching me a little closer. 8) I have been getting a lot of parts from columbia

Thanks Matt, That is very encouraging. I've been to Columbia a number of times and know they are good hard working people. L60Boerne
