Valves for a p engine

Hi all just wondering where I could get an inlet and exaust valve, there is a leak on the #5 cylinder and I'm suspecting burnt valve. or would I need stem seals aswell? Cheeres

You might find that all it needs is a valve grind. The valves are pretty meaty on these engines, and you can grind quite a bit and still be within tolerance.

I have a couple of spares. They were in a box of parts that came with my patrol. I'm not sure of their condition.

My G60 was converted to run on LPG and I assume the valves were replaced as LPG runs hotter then petrol. However they may have suffered the same problem as yours before being replaced.

I will dig them out if you are interested.

However I would try a valve grind first as recommended below, that sounds the easiest.

Cheeres everyone. I'll pull the head and see what I'm dealing with. To stop this happening do I just need to put Lead additive into it?

If the engine was run on LP previously, that could be the cause. I don't find it necessary to add lead myself. That's usually needed for high performance engines.
