Hi All
I'm the custodian of "the Truck" a 1964 G60 Patrol. In 1978 my brother and I purchased "the Truck" from the original owner, Jack. He had imported it new and had put it through some tough paces as his kangaroo shooting rig. We needed something to take down to the snow that would carry eight of us and our gear. This went on for years until marriage changed focus and "the Truck" became the daily driver. The kids referred to the G60 as "the Truck" and the name has stuck. It's now just had its second cylinder head overhaul, its third repaint, replacement shackles, front springs and all shocks. The odometer stopped about twenty years ago so it's only got 19087 miles on it (possibly the third time round the clock by now ) and it still has its original rings. I haven't seen another G60 on the road for about 10 years, they must be locked away some where. I'm heading to Gulgong this weekend, loading the Truck up with stuff for a "swap meet" so hopefully I will come back with less that I take up ! Cheers Stu

Re: the Truck
Welcome to 60Patrol!
Great story about The Truck! Thanks for sharing. Very cool that it's been in the family for so long. Keep looking, you might see another on the road; there are a few out there.
Post up some pictures when you get a chance. We love seeing Patrol pics.
