Wanted: Door Hinge Pin

Post by ShowMePatrol »

Ok.....looking for a Door Hinge Pin. My lower, drivers side door hinge pin was broke when I bought my Patrol. If someone has one, I would be willing to pay for the Pin + Shipping.

Thanks,

I don't think I have ever seen just the pin available. I've always had to get the whole hinge.
Beyond any hope for intervention

I may have a useable hinge...I'll scrounge and let ya know. If so, it's yours.

Found my spare hinge, but it's been poorly modified.
I found an unmodified broken pin that I'll use as a pattern for making a coupla spares.
I'd been considering that little project already, so this will speed me up.
Should have time next week sometime.
Anybody else need a pin?

Bill,
I hate to pile it on but a new pin to replace the nail I'm using for a pin on Presidio Patrol would be appreciated.

I removed the pin that is in the picture I posted. It was from the other door and in great shape. I sprayed Liquid wrench lubricating oil on the hinge assembly and pin before trying to remove it. I took a punch and drove the old pin out from the bottom of the hinge assembly. I reinstalled the the pin from the top. It just needed a light tap on the top of the pin to drive it down in the hinge assembly.
