Good Sunday morning! I was wondering if anyone knew what size thread the water pump zerk fitting is? The zerk fitting was missing from my WP after I received it back from a recent rebuild.
Thanks!

Is it possible that a sealed bearing was used during the rebuild so the zerk wasn't replaced? I think that may be the case. I just don't like having an open hole at the top of the water pump.

Yes, they most likely used a sealed bearing. It was only the very early waterpumps that had the Siri fitting for greasing, the later ones, after about '65, came with sealed bearings. Sounds like it's good to go.

Without knowing what bearing was installed, I will put the Zerk fitting there. You might have to do a couple of trials to find the right one.
