Rubber Cap for Brake Master Cylinder?

I bought four of these thinking I could cut a hole in them and use them for the rubber gasket surrounding the fuel intake.

Before I ruin them I thought I'd see if anyone really needed them. The seller in Kuwait said they were for a G60 Patrol.

First, what is their intended purpose and does anyone need them for that purpose. I have four.

That is indeed the rubber cap for the brake master cylinder for all Patrols up to early 1970. I'm sure it will interest some of the members, since over time, they expand a little bit and become mushy.

Please don't cut them up! I will trade you for the ring around the fuel intake.

L60Boerne, I sure could use one of them for my master cylinder. The original has morphed into a gooey rubbery mess. :o

Leslie, You get one. I would appreciate that rubber gasket in return. It is the black rubber piece you see while trying to put the fuel nozzle in the fuel intake. I'll trade two for two, if you have two. Also, i'll give you as many as you need, saving one for Paul.

Paul, you have one coming your way too. Just send me your address.

Patrolling with passion,
L60Boerne

PS. check out this super cool fuel tank mat .....www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/hy ... 106...this solves a huge problem. I've got some coming.

David, I sent you a PM with my address. Thanks!

Watched the video on the fuel pickup 'mat'. That is simply amazing. And there is so much filtering capability (surface area) with that thing, it's crazy!
