"I died and went to heaven" when I found this site. Spending far too much time basking in the wonderment of your experience and willing advice for hours.
Background of my 1966 Patrol....A lady bought my patrol new. It was painted powder blue but being an outdoorsy person she decided it should be repainted in original Japanese color camo per their military specs. I don't know what it cost but it was done first class..but ugly. She used it mostly as a commuter vehicle. Because of a medical condition she had to quit driving it so she parked it back in a field. I found it 25 years ago when I heard she was going to sell it to her mechanic for $500. I jumped on it to use on my ten hilly acres. I put another $1500 in it for new brakes and clutch. Very little rust on the body but the metal top was very rusted on the edges but doors etc. just fine. Have re-upolstered and done some repairs but it is stock. I have restored a 1946 Jeep and had a 1966 Jeep new, that i put a 350 Buick V8 in. I can honestly say that this Patrol is far better than the Jeeps
I bought an old Bendix Hydrovac which I hope to overhaul and install to improve the brakes. On my to do list. Will post a picture laterr.
